James Viser Constas is my full name, but it looks funny on a book cover, so I just go by James Viser when authoring.

My educational background is in international business, economics and finance. In addition, I have studied comparative religion and have been active in the political process. In my works, I synthesize my diverse experiences and knowledge base into intelligent action thrillers with a spiritual/metaphysical twist.

I was born in southern California and our family moved to the Phoenix, Arizona area when I was 14. I earned a B.S. degree in International Management and a minor in Economics from Arizona State University. After graduation, I moved to Denver, Colorado in 1989 and started my professional career as as an analyst with a multinational oil and gas company where I learned the ins-and-outs of the oil patch. Working nights and weekends, I later I earned an M.B.A. Finance from the University of Denver.

My experience includes working for an independent oil and gas company, a food manufacturer, raising venture capital as the Chief Financial Officer of an Internet start-up and opened (and then closed) my own business.

I bring my diverse experiences in business, politics, comparative religion and spirituality into my work, creating a unique and page-turning reading experience aimed at cultivating Spiritual Patriotism. My current projects include finishing the third book in the AMERICA FIRST series — AMERICA FIRST. I live in Colorado with my family.

My writing influences include Ernest Hemingway, Dan Brown, Bob Mayer, Tom Clancy, Dean Koontz, Paulo Coelho, Paramhansa Yogananda and Torkom Saraydarian.
